The role and what we are looking for

The successful applicant will have a real opportunity to shape this provision and have a positive impact on the academic and social progress of students who may need alternative provision to their normal curriculum for short periods of time.

Working closely with Senior Leaders and the Pastoral & Behaviour teams, the successful applicant will ensure that the curriculum is delivered to students during their time in the provision, and that learning is not missed as a result.

If you are flexible, supportive and understand the needs of children and young people, we would like to hear from you. You should be able to develop a range of strategies to promote a good attitude to learning in and around the school. The successful candidate will join the Pastoral Active Support Team and report directly to the Deputy Principal. You will have the drive and intent to secure school improvement; have a creative and innovative approach and an ability to embrace and promote change; be enthusiastic and determined to support the school. You must be willing to model and support the Oasis ethos.

This role is essential in the development of the Academy as it grows in size, year on year, to eventually house 1500 students.

 Our Academy

We are a secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester that opened in 2018 and are dedicated to supporting our young people to reach their potential. We leave no child behind; our progress data is incredibly strong and it is attributed to the hard work of our staff and students. We work together, sharing this educational journey with a common goal - develop happy and successful leaders who are culturally enriched role models in our community. Being part of the Oasis Community Learning multi-academy trust, we benefit from support and sharing of best practice from our regional schools, Regional Director and wider Oasis family.

We opened the Academy in temporary accommodation in 2018, with just 230 students across two year groups. In November 2020 we moved into our new, permanent home, which is a state of the art building that sits on the old Breeze Hill School site located on Roxbury Avenue, just off Lees Road in Oldham. We will be at full capacity, with 1500 students, by 2025-26. We are a school of choice within Oldham and are rated 'Good' by Ofsted.
