The role and what we are looking for

The Teaching Assistant will work with a growing team of staff, supporting students to receive an excellent educational experience, right from the start. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible and committed to ensuring that this Academy provides the very best opportunities for every single student.

We need someone who will set high expectations, inspire students to love learning, and challenge our young people to think in new ways. You must be willing to model and support the Oasis ethos.

This role is essential in the development of the Academy as it grows in size, year on year, to eventually house 1500 students.

Our Academy

We are a secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester that opened in 2018 and are dedicated to supporting our young people to reach their potential. We leave no child behind; our progress data is strong and it is attributed to the hard work of our staff and students. We work together, sharing this educational journey with a common goal - develop happy and successful leaders who are culturally enriched role models in our community. Being part of the Oasis Community Learning multi-academy trust, we benefit from support and sharing of best practice from our regional schools, Regional Director and wider Oasis family.

We opened the Academy in temporary accommodation in 2018, with just 230 students across two year groups. In November 2020 we moved into our new, permanent home, which is a state of the art building that sits on the old Breeze Hill School site located on Roxbury Avenue, just off Lees Road in Oldham. We currently serve over 1,100 students, and will be at full capacity, with 1500 students, by 2025-2026. We are a school of choice within Oldham, rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Like what you see? Make sure you fill out an application today and submit to us before the deadline of 9am on Thursday 9th May 2024. Please note, we do not accept CVs.
