The role and what we are looking for:

We are looking for a fun, enthusiastic, committed, and driven practitioner to join our team.  The successfully candidate will be an experienced practitioner and will be able to show they have the understanding and experience to deal with challenges faced by some families in this community, with compassion and sensitivity while aiming for the highest outcomes for both child and family. They will have some experience in working with children with special, educational needs and disabilities and a good understanding of the EYFS and how to best deliver it.  This role if for 21 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year).

  • Knowledge of the principles of working in a preschool setting
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage
  • Enthusiastic and effective team player
  • Understanding of children’s development and needs
  • Ability to work with parents and to encourage their involvement.
  • Calm and adaptable with an ability to work within a flexible and busy environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Support a child with additional needs.

We are a Preschool in Southampton dedicated to supporting our children to reach their potential. We leave no child behind; our progress data is incredibly strong and it is attributed to the hard work of our staff and students.
