At Oasis Academy Brislington we are looking to recruit an expert teacher who can deliver the excellently resourced English Curriculum within our context. Studying English Language and Literature at OAB intends to provide students with opportunities to gain knowledge of and to engage with the “best of what has been thought and said”. Our curriculum has been rigorously planned and resourced because we believe that great English teaching helps to shape the individual. In order to do this successfully, it needs rigour, precision and soul. Our curriculum focusses on robust vocabulary instruction, challenging texts and powerful questions. It is designed to foster a sense of curiosity and an appreciation that to read the widest possible range of texts, and create your own, opens minds and leads people to be better human beings. As a member of our highly successful department, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all students achieve their very best in this vital subject. The team is hugely experienced and you will be fully supported by true experts in their field including a National Lead Practitioner who is based at OAB. The successful candidate, who is a strong classroom practitioner with excellent subject knowledge and is able to deliver at both KS3 and KS4, will be a committed individual able to inspire and motivate our young people.
