Are you an inspirational and visionary leader with the expertise and tenacity to shape transformational change on a national scale?

If so, we have a once-in-a-career opportunity within one of the largest trusts in the UK.

Oasis Community Learning has a vision to create ‘Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community’. It is critically important that leaders across our family of 52 academies feel empowered to innovate in the best interests of their young people and the communities we collectively serve.

As our new National Director of Secondary, you will bring the experience and ability to elevate our impact through visionary leadership and timely intervention. You’ll provide leadership to our Secondary Regional Director team - delivering clarity of direction and sector leading school improvement strategies across a broad portfolio of secondary settings.

You will draw on your wealth of expertise to ensure that every academy – whatever its starting point – continues to improve on its journey to Outstanding, embedding improvement and exceeding expectations along the way. You will be a skilled influencer, developing and maintaining exceptional relationships and represent the Trust - serving as an ambassador for our students, our work and our values.

Our ethos of inclusion, perseverance and healthy relationships will sit at the heart of your approach. Working closely with the National Director of Primary, you will ensure there is continuity of progression from primary to secondary education. You will play a lead role in cutting-edge educational innovation, supporting an integrated approach across Trust provision - including The One Plan to mental health, SEND, alternative provision, therapeutic care and new academy improvement strategies.

You will not be in this alone; you will work in unison with nationally recognised leaders and educationalists across our organisation – there is support at every turn. As you would expect, this is a highly visible role where you’ll shape change and create considerable organisational impact. You’ll also access a generous benefits package and be provided with limitless opportunities to grow and develop. This role is Full-time, national portfolio with hybrid working.

If you are excited about our future, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We strongly encourage interested candidates to have an informal discussion about the role with CEO, John Murphy. We are working in partnership with Propelo to recruit to this position. Please contact Propelo in the first instance to arrange a conversation via ocl@propelo.co.uk or 01273 222 877.
