An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant National Mental Health Lead, to join us in the National Safeguarding Team at Oasis Community Learning (OCL), one of the largest multi-academy trusts in the UK, which is part of the Oasis Global family. We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced individual in safeguarding and the strategic management attendance to join us in the National Team. The OCL Safeguarding & Mental Health Team delivers a range of services and covers a broad range of activities to ensure that OCL pupils are safe and well within an education model that is delivered both effectively and in line with statutory obligations.
This post will report directly to the National Director of Safeguarding & Mental Health to ensure strategic oversight of this new role, however daily activities will be coordinated by the National Mental Health Lead. The successful candidate will currently be a school leader and help support on the accessibility to education provision where mental health and emotional health is a barrier to accessing Oasis Academies provision. Ensuring that in all aspects of our work policies and practice is trauma informed and there is a culture that puts exemplary safeguarding and emotional/mental health of children and adults at the heart of all we do.
The qualities we see in a successful candidate are high self-expectation, good time management, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities. We are seeking a passionate and driven individual who can work within the structure of the OCL nine habits and Ethos and have the ability communicate effectively within a wide range of individuals, colleagues and outside agencies, and significant safeguarding and the management of attendance experience. The role requires the individual to be able and willing to travel nationally to all settings across the Oasis estate, including overnight stays.
